On the 24th of February, the California Mu chapter hosted its second annual Balanced Leader Scholarship banquet, with several alumni in attendance. The Balanced Leader Scholarship rewards students who have shown academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to their health and well-being. We are committed to helping our members develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom, future careers, and everyday life.

Our banquet this year was hosted in the BSC on campus in the Ursa Major rooms. Alumni speakers were heard from AVC President Mark Middlebrook and District Governor Renato Villacorte, who shared their personal Cal Mu story and encouraged us to continue with our efforts on campus as SigEp continues to grow.

We showed our congratulations to Alexis Ortiz for his hard work that deserved the recognition of our scholarship. We also recognized our outgoing president, Jamill Lemon, for earning the J. Edward Zollinger award for Outstanding Senior. Jay’s contributions have been instrumental to our success in this chapter. We are thankful to our BLS Chairman, Charlie Camarata for organizing this celebration of academic excellence.
